The content of our sessions is confidential and information will not be disclosed to others, subject to the following exceptions:-

• If I felt that there was a serious risk to yourself or others.

• Where I would be liable to civil or criminal court proceedings if the information were not disclosed.

• If there is a court order requiring disclosure.

In such circumstances; we would normally discuss the situation and your consent to any disclosure of information to your G.P. or other relevant authority would be sought wherever possible.

In order to provide an effective and professional service I keep records of clients and their sessions. In line with professional requirements and good therapeutic practice, I may also discuss our sessions with my supervisor.

I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy [UKCP] and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy [BACP] and I work to the Codes of Ethics of the BACP and my registering body for UKCP.
